PRESS RELEASE:
Software developer marketing preferences revealed in new study
An in-depth study on the marketing mediums preferred by UK software developers was released this week by market research agency, Kingpin Intelligence.
The research highlights developer preferences for IT media, including particular magazines, websites and newsfeeds. In addition, attitudes towards email marketing, and other common information sources were investigated.
300 UK software developers were consulted during the last two months and offered valuable insight into how they treat various print, online and marketing media.
While online sources were selected as the most ideal methods of sourcing IT information, developers believe that print magazines and forums are the most credible.
“Our latest research piece has revealed some interesting insights into a very niche target audience that should be of enormous benefit to anybody trying to communicate with them,” said Cathy Radcliffe, Operations Director for Kingpin Intelligence. “The research indicates that some traditional methods of marketing communication have proved ineffective with this audience, and other methods seem more attractive than previously thought. Also, it appears that print isn’t dead!”
