The campaign for Global computing giants Microsoft was a productive and tactful campaign which transformed cold leads into warm sales prospects and has enabled Microsoft to be successful in a market where it previously had little traction.

The newest addition to the Kingpin family is Elefun, part of the Elephant Parade herd brightening up London streets this summer.
250 brightly painted elephants were positioned throughout central London, each with a plaque showing who made it possible by sponsoring the elephant. The elephants have been decorated by different artists or celebrities. The campaign aimed to raise over £2 million for the Asian elephant which will be used to secure and restore corridors of land used by elephants during migration.
It ran from 2nd May to 29th June 2010 and was London’s biggest public art exhibition.

Kingpin Intelligence has been awarded the Market Research award at the Marketing Week Engage Awards 2010 for its technical audience segmentation campaign for Microsoft UK.
The technical audience segmentation was based on the Kingpin Intelligence Biometric Research Model which combines the traditional methodologies of qualitative and quantitative surveys, with observational research and psychometric testing. The unique model allows for greater insight into both demographics and audience needs/challenges, but also behaviours and communication preferences.
The in-depth segmentation was commissioned by Microsoft UK in order to enhance their understanding of the landscape and make-up of the UK technology audience. By employing the unique Biometric Research Model, Kingpin Intelligence was able to produce a comprehensive overview of the audience based on personas who registered specific characteristics.
“So clever we wish we’d thought of it” The panel of judges lauded the innovative research approach and commended the project for allowing the client to develop much more effective marketing for a tough audience.
